Joiphone has been pleasant to work with, I was up quickly on my SunRocket Gizmo and later switched to Joiphone's Gizmo (It was free). The posting of my old phone number took between 2-3weeks, they said the delay was due to the local holder of our number. I filled out the form that they said the local company needed, and two days later, my original home number was back on line. If you call the tech support, just endure the silence, they will answer, but it would put you at ease if there was some background music.
Joiphone has been very supportive and comes with a high recommendation from me.

Joiphone tech support has been very helpful in getting me online.
I had the issue that I could hear my caller, but my caller couldn't hear me. Turns out that my Verizon Fios is set for PPPoE protocol. Joiphone explained how to set the Gizmo for PPPoE, and they set their end to do the same, walla, great phone service.
After setting my Gizmo to PPPoE, I set my D-Link router for TCP/IP and my internet was back on line. Note, I also reset the D-Link IP range to match the Gizmo.
Joiphone is a Joy!

Washington Mutual credited back my debit card (not credit, but debit) for the full 209.26. They were fully aware of the issue with Sunrocket and I anticipate no problem with retaining the full charge back amount.

Hi,

I called up Chase and they are refunding me 166.49$. I have had sunrocket service for about 8 months and I paid 208.63$ for 2 years service.

Thanks for letting me know this option.

Thanks,
Balaji.

I have used your instructions, they work perfectly fine thanks for that. With ViaTalk second second phone port can also be used, do you know how to configure second phone port on the gizmo.

Thanks

I ported my number to Verizon, but when I tried signing up for DSL they said Sunrocket still had some ISP signal on the line. Any idea how to deal with this?

With the InnoMedia MTA6328-R2e Sunrocket gizmo properly functioning you should see a steady green light next to Power, Run, and VOIP. The lights next to the Phone 2 and 1 regard your phone - solid green for off-hook and off otherwise.

My Suckrocket service currently allows me to call out national long distance, but incoming calls don't connect. I hope they'll bill me accordingly...

I found the fix. The joiphone service requires that UDP 5060-5070 and 10000-20000 ports to be opened on the firewall. I think this could lead to other security problems. I moved my joiphone gizmo to the DMZ and it works now.

I signed up with Axvoice. I am trying to unlock my SR gizmo with your instructions. The part a,b go fine. When I cut and paste the restore http line, it cannot find it because I am not connected to internet. Maybe this is a stupid question, but what do I do? I see at the VOIP home page that there is a reset link, but it warns me that everything is lost with all networks. Thanks

I have 2 SR services with 2 gizmos and only one of them stopped working the day they went belly up. The other line has been working fine, but now the other one is working again a few days after it went dead. My service actually ended on 7/22 so at least it was good timing for me. I didn't get hosed and they still haven't rebilled me on either account for the new year's service but the lines still work. Am I getting free service now? Who is providing it? Will it get transferred automatically? I quickly signed-up for Vonage, but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have.

I did the above method but all my "Gizmo Project" calls are getting received on the computer to its software. If I don't pick up the call, it goes to some message that the person is not available.

How should I make "Gizmo Project" to forward all calls to my unlocked Sunrocket gizmo?

As far as I know, <a title="VOIP Service" href="http://enjoydeals.com/locate/voip.php" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">VOIP.com</a> does not have BYOD facility.

You can consider <a title="ViaTalk Signup" href="http://enjoydeals.com/locate/viatalk.php" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">ViaTalk</a> or <a title="JoiPhone Offer" href="http://enjoydeals.com/locate/joiphone.php" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">JoiPhone</a> which are running promotion using the BYOD scheme.
